Churchtoons, cartoons from Church

About ChurchToons

Welcome to ChurchToons. Cartoons that illustrate a point or points of a sermon. The cartoons are seldom laugh-out-loud funny, and maybe not all that insightful - they are certainly not new or innovative. They are simple reminders of truths we, as Christians, already know deep in our hearts.

While I don't claim originality or even novelty, I do hope that each of the cartoons bring us all back to truth or truths that root our Christianity and remind of us who we are, who God is, and how we can know God.

A couple of quick thoughts:
1. For any of you who see yourselves in the cartoons, please know that I have not patterned the "toxic behaviors" on anyone other than myself. Whenever you see one of the characters displaying an action or thought that seems less than brilliantly Christian, yeah - that's me. I'm very much a work in progress.

2. As stated above, the work seen here is simple. So simple, that anyone can do it, and I encourage anyone reading this blog to create their own ChurchToons. Post them however you can, and help remind the virtual world that Christ came to the real world to save real sinners like us.

3. Feel free to leave comments, re-post, reuse, etc. I only ask that no profit be made from the cartoons and if they are reused in any way, please do not violate the premise or spirit of the work.

Thanks again for looking on the ChurchToons.

Welcome

Each of the cartoons on this site is an expression of a sermon I heard in church. As a cartoonist, my method of understanding complex theological topics is to boil them down to simple images.

These images will never do justice to the sermons from which they are derived, but hopefully, they convey at least one aspect of those sermons to you, the reader.

I hope that you gain some benefit from the cartoons and will reuse them in ways that honor Christ.
